Location
Keekorok lodge is situated on the direct path of the wildebeest migration . At the height of migration, the lodge is surrounded by a swarming mass of animals and there is hardly need for a game drive. Nairobi is 260 Kms away.

Room Feature

Keekorok lodge is in bungalows and single storey blocks and in comfortable shaded chalets all with 158 beds. Rooms are simply and tastefully furnished, many with views of the Mara. The lodge's presidential suite is the best in the Mara.

The Masai Mara reserve is the most famous park in Kenya and the entire Africa.Some time back,it was declared the 8th wonder of the world due to the famous great migration which takes place annually in this wonderful reserve.

It is famous for its exceptional population of game and the annual migration of the wildebeest every July and August, a migration so immense it is called the Great Migration.

The Masai Mara is most famous for its lions. All other members of the "Big Five" are to be found in the Masai Mara

Around July of each year Wildebeest, Thomson's Gazelle, and Zebra. migrate from the Serengeti plains in search of fresh pasture, and return to the south around October.

The Great Migration is one of the most impressive natural events worldwide.

Day 1:Nairobi-Maasai Mara National Reserve:

When you arrive at Jomo-kenyatta international airport Nairobi Kenya,you will be welcomed by our company representative who will be holding a placard reading your names for you to recognise him/her.

After briefing you will depart for masai mara passing through the dramatic Great Rift Valley stopping at the view point, ascend the western rim of the valley crossing the loita plains (maasai-land), see red-clad maasai warriors tend their multi-colored herds amongst plains game.Arrive at Masai Mara Game Reserve in time for an afternoon game drive.
Dinner and overnight at keekorok lodge.

Days 2:Masai mara national reserve:

Morning and afternoon game drives,Search for wild game black manned lion for which Mara is famous for, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, leopard, grants gazelle are quite common, even the rare rhino might come out of the thicket for you, hyenas are plentiful.

Extend your drive to the hippo point where schools of hippo submerge on the approach of vehicles only to surface seconds later to shot and gamble their displeasure as the crocodiles sun bathe on the river banks mouths agape.

After lunch there is optional visit to the maasai villages for an insight to their culture.

This game reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve.Dinner and overnight at keekorok lodge.

Day 3: Depart from the lodge in the morning after breakfast and drive north while viewing game and make a stopover at Narok town with a chance to buy a souvenir or a cup of tea to arrive back in by late afternoon.
