Location

Kilaguni serena lodge is located in Tsavo West National Park, 275 km South East of Nairobi.It is adjacent to a teeming water hole and daily visited by vast herds of elephant, buffalo and plains game.Apart from the abundant wildlife, the park boasts other numerous attractions such as the crystal clear waters of Mzima Springs, Shetani and Chaimu lava flows and the roaring rocks

Rooms

Cool, tranquil and hushed for optimum game-viewing the open-air dining area, timbered decks and rock-hewn bar blend the traditional “khaki-and-canvas” look with bright-painted banners, sepia-hued paintings and evocative olive-wood carvings of elephant herds and tail-erect wart hogs.

The elegantly renovated rooms draw on a sun-gold, sky-blue and bush-green savannah colour palette and have been so styled to provide world-class luxury and a quintessential African aura whilst featuring private verandas with views of eternity.

The lodge provides 56 rooms (5 suites and 51 standard rooms). All rooms have air conditioning, mosquito nets, power points, hot water showers, balcony and laundry services.

3 days kilaguni serena lodge in-tsavo west

After relaxing in your beach resort you may need an outdoor activity and we recommend safari to Tsavo East and west which are famous for the man eaters lions.

Day 1: Mombassa – Tsavo East Park:

In the morning at 0800hrs, pick up from your beach resort in Mombassa and drive to Tsavo National Park for hot lunch at Taita Hill Lode. There after lunch proceed with afternoon game reserves in the park, Dinner and overnight at Taita Hill lodge, FB.

Day 2: Tsavo East – Tsavo West:

Early morning game drive, the ideal time so see a wide range of African wildlife and bird life including birds of prey in Tsavo East returning to the lodge for breakfast.

After breakfast, continue with game drive in the park on the way to Kilaguni Serena lodge in Tsavo West National Park. The Park offers tremendous views with diverse habitats, ranging from mountains, river forest, plains, lakes and wooded grassland. Its plains borders with Tanzania.

The lodge is situated in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro, between Amboseli National Park and Tsavo West National Park. It is on the banks of Tsavo River, being fed from the snow capped peaks of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Bird life is prolific.

The ever presence of water ensures that a diverse variety of game can be seen most of the year round visiting the river to quench their thirst. After lunch game drive in the park until sunset. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena lodge, FB.

Day 3: Tsavo West – Mombassa:

Wake up at 0600hrs for an early morning game viewing, back to your lodge for breakfast at 0800hrs. Then with your lunch box leave the park and drive back to Mombassa where you will arrive at around 1330hrs.
