The Masai Mara reserve is in south-western Kenya.
Named for the Maasai people (the traditional inhabitants of the area) and the Mara River which divides it, it is famous for its exceptional population of game and the annual migration of the wildebeest every July and August, a migration so immense it is called the Great Migration.

The Masai Mara is most famous for its lions. All other members of the "Big Five" are to be found in the Masai Mara

Hippopotami are found in large groups in the Masai Mara and Talek Rivers. Cheetah are also to be found

The wildebeest are the dominant inhabitant of the Masai Mara, and their numbers are estimated in the millions.

Around July of each year these animals migrate from the Serengeti plains in search of fresh pasture, and return to the south around October.

The Great Migration is one of the most impressive natural events worldwide, involving an immensity of hervibores: Wildebeest, Thomson's Gazelle, and Zebra.

These numerous migrants are followed along their annual, circular route by a block of hungry predators, most notably lions and hyena.

Day 1When you arrive at Jomo-kenyatta international airport Nairobi Kenya,you will be welcomed by our company representative who will be holding a placard reading your names for you to recognise him/her.

After briefing you will depart and drive through the Great Rift Valley, the dramatic landscape and the plains inhabited by Maasai pastoralists. The Maasai Mara National Reserve is reached in time for lunch. In the afternoon you will have a game drive to search out lion for which the reserve is famous. Dinner and overnight in a lodge or camp.

Day 2 Take an extensive morning game drive later followed by a restful afternoon at the poolside or another game drive. In this famous reserve you will be able to encounter animal species like the Big five e.g Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo and other lesser species. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.

Day 3 Breakfast at the lodge or camp before returning to Nairobi. If time Permits game drive en route arriving in time for fun.
