The Masai Mara reserve is in south-western Kenya.

This is the most famous park in Kenya and the entire Africa.Some time back,it was declared the 8th wonder of the world due to the famous great migration which takes place annually in this wonderful reserve.

Named for the Maasai people (the traditional inhabitants of the area) and the Mara River which divides it, it is famous for its exceptional population of game and the annual migration of the wildebeest every July and August, a migration so immense it is called the Great Migration.

The Masai Mara is most famous for its lions. All other members of the "Big Five" are to be found in the Masai Mara

Hippopotami are found in large groups in the Masai Mara and Talek Rivers. Cheetah are also to be found

The wildebeest are the dominant inhabitant of the Masai Mara, and their numbers are estimated in the millions.

Around July of each year these animals migrate from the Serengeti plains in search of fresh pasture, and return to the south around October.

The Great Migration is one of the most impressive natural events worldwide, involving an immensity of hervibores: Wildebeest, Thomson's Gazelle, and Zebra.

These numerous migrants are followed along their annual, circular route by a block of hungry predators, most notably lions and hyena.

We fly you straight on day one to give you more time at the reserve

Day 1. Nairobi- Maasai Mara
Pick up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta international airport and transfer to Wilson airport, where you board scheduled flight to Masai Mara, and after 45 minutes you arrive Masai Mara airstrip where Mara Safari Lodge hotel driver guide will be waiting for you for a transfer to the Lodge. Afternoon game drive to this game reserve and after return to the hotel for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Maasai Mara is Kenya's finest wildlife Sanctuary.well over 450 species of animal have been recorded here. Although July, August and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest, there is also resident wildlife throughout the year. It is in this reserve that you have high chances of seeing the Big Five. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve so you will have an option of visiting their villages.

Day 2 Maasai Mara
After a Hippo pool breakfast a morning game drive follows to this reserve to view the Big Five and the prolific bird life in this African wilderness park. Lunch is served with a game drive in the afternoon with a stop over at Masai Boma (extra payment) or Relax at the swimming pool. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or Luxury tented camp.

Day 3. Maasai Mara - Nairobi
Early morning Game drive on sunrise when predators are active and on return to the Luxury Camp have breakfast awaiting your transfer to the airstrip with the last picturesque of the Mara. Board our flight to Nairobi to Wilson airport. On arrival a representative will be waiting for you and transfer you to your town hotel or airport.
