- Lake Manyara About Lake Manyara Lake Manyara is a shallow fresh-water lake in Tanzania,it is also the home of a diverse set of landscapes and wildlife.While most known for baboons, the lake and its environs is also home to herbivores such as hippos, impalas, elephants, wildebeests, buffalo, warthogs and giraffes.Lake Manyara provides opportunities for ornithologists keen on viewing and observing over 300 migratory birds. - Serengeti About Serengeti The Serengeti National Park is a large national park in Serengeti area, Tanzania. It is most famous for its annual migration of over one million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra.The Serengeti is Tanzania's first national park and remains the flagship of the country’s tourism industry.The big five species remain the key attractions to tourists and they include lion,leopard,elephant,buffalo and rhino, but the park also supports many further species including cheetah, gazelle and giraffe as well as a large and varied bird population. - Ngorongoro Crater About Ngorongoro Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera. The Crater is 610m deep and the floor is 260km² (102 square miles).Animal populations in the crater include most of the species found in East Africa, but there are no impalas , topis , oribis , giraffes or crocodiles.The crater floor is mostly open grassland with two small wooded areas dominated by Acacia xanthophloea. This lake is known by two names: Makat as the Maasai called it, meaning salt; and Magadi.The Lerai Stream drains the humid forests to the south of the Crater, and it feeds the Lerai Forest on the Crater floor.All the big five are to be found at the base of the crater. Crater - Tarangire About Tarangire Tarangire National Park is a national park in Tanzania.It is probably one of the least visited of the northern Tanzanian game parks, and retains a real air of undiscovered Africa, particularly in the south of the park. Just a two hours drive away from Arusha, the park is a nice stop if time does not allow for a visit to Serengeti and Ngorongoro. It is named after the Tarangire River that flows through the park.It is in this park that you will see tree climbing lions DAY 07: Tarangire
