About Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara is a shallow fresh-water lake in Tanzania,it is also the home of a diverse set of landscapes and wildlife.While most known for baboons, the lake and its environs is also home to herbivores such as hippos, impalas, elephants, wildebeests, buffalo, warthogs and giraffes.Lake Manyara provides opportunities for ornithologists keen on viewing and observing over 300 migratory birds.

DAY 02: Lake Manyara - Serengeti
After breakfast drive into Olduvai Gorge, the site of Leakey’s discovery of fossils of animal and human ancestors dating back almost two million years. Meals and overnight at Sopa Lodge.

DAY 03: Serengeti
Spend the day in Serengeti with two game drives. Meals and overnight at Sopa Lodge.

The Serengeti National Park is a large national park in Serengeti area, Tanzania. It is most famous for its annual migration of over one million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra.The Serengeti is Tanzania's first national park and remains the flagship of the country’s tourism industry.The big five species remain the key attractions to tourists and they include lion,leopard,elephant,buffalo and rhino, but the park also supports many further species including cheetah, gazelle and giraffe as well as a large and varied bird population.

DAY 04: Serengeti
Another day in Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Search for any wild game you might have missed in the previous game drives, dinner and overnight at Sopa Lodge.

DAY 05: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast morning game viewing drive in Serengeti National Park, In the afternoon drive to one of the natural wonders of the world, Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

About Ngorongoro

Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera.The Crater is 610m deep and the floor is 260km² (102 square miles).Animal populations in the crater include most of the species found in East Africa, but there are no impalas , topis , oribis , giraffes or crocodiles.The crater floor is mostly open grassland with two small wooded areas dominated by Acacia xanthophloea.All the big five are to be found at the base of the crater

DAY 06: Ngorongoro Crater
Leave after breakfast with picnic lunch for a full day crater tour, explore the crater, enjoy picnic lunch at the crater before ascending back to the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 07: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
After breakfast drive to Arusha arriving by lunch time and thereafter drive to Nairobi.
