Mombasa & Its Beaches:
Mombasa city provides an interesting experience with the old Portuguese Fort Jesus, Old Town, Markets and Shops. An extensive variety of excursions are available to sample the local culture and the famous Kenyan wildlife. For ease of reference we have divided the beaches into three main areas. The hotels are situated either on the North or South Coast of Mombasa or at Watamu, further North of Mombasa.

The North Coast is closer to the town center and is popular with tourists and offers a greater variety of activities, restaurants and nightlife. The hotels are about one hour from the airport.

The South Coast hotels are further away from Mombasa with the route taking you over Kilindini harbour by the Likoni ferry. The transfer time is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Diani beach, with over six miles of white sands, lapped by the Indian Ocean, forms the heart of the South Coast. Diani's wide white beaches form an ideal location for honeymooners.

Watamu, situated south of Malindi town, hosts a delightful Marine Park covering 19 miles of coastline. Breathtaking coral gardens teem with brightly coloured tropical fish and the tranquil Mida Creek borders an ancient Mangrove forest. Watamu is a haven for snorkelling enthusiasts and avid or novice scuba divers as it harbours one of the world's most spectacular marine parks. Motorised watersports are not available. Watamu is about two hours by road from Mombasa Airport.

DAY ONE: NAIROBI - MOMBASA
The morning is spent relaxing while the afternoon is occupied by a visit to the nearby Nairobi National Park the only national park in the world which is located within the city. Take the night train to Mombasa arriving early the next morning.Dinner and overnight in the train sleeper.

DAY TWO: MOMBASA - SOUTH COAST
Transfer by vehicle to hotel on the renowned Diani Beach, where the next few days are spent enjoying the unspoiled white sands of these beaches. Accommodation is on half board to enable you sample the varied cuisine that is found in the eateries of the many hotels that dot this coast.

DAY THREE TO DAY SIX: DIANI BEACH
These days are spent by the beach sunbathing or engaged in the numerous water sports that are available including: - Scuba diving, snorkeling, wind surfing, big game fishing and deep sea dive.

DAY SEVEN: DIANI - NAIROBI
Morning flight to Nairobi after transfer by road to the coastal town of Mombasa.Dinner at Carnivore before flight back home.

10 Days Itineraly Of Kenya North Coast Holiday:

DAY ONE: NORTH COAST
Morning flight to Mombasa. Transfer to Serena Beach Hotel after a tour of the city of Mombasa and lunch. Dinner and overnight at this first class beach hotel.

DAY TWO TO DAY FIVE: NORTH COAST
At leisure either relaxing by the beach, engaged in water sports or exploring the nearby nature trails and historic ruins.

DAY SIX: LAMU
Afternoon flight to Lamu after a lunch cruise on the Tamarind Dhow. Dinner and overnight at a Lamu Hotel.

DAY SEVEN TO DAY NINE: LAMU
At leisure. Accommodation in Lamu is on full board basis.

DAY TEN: NAIROBI
Morning flight to Nairobi. Transfer to your hotel.Evening dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant before proceeding to the airport for your flight back home.
