Tarangire National Park is a national park in Tanzania.

It is probably one of the least visited of the northern Tanzanian game parks, and retains a real air of undiscovered Africa, particularly in the south of the park. Just a two hours drive away from Arusha, the park is a nice stop if time does not allow for a visit to Serengeti and Ngorongoro.

It is named after the Tarangire River that flows through the park.

It is in this park that you will see tree climbing lions.

4 Days/3 nights Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire

On this 4 days safari, you will visit both Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. The crater, a true wonder of the natural world, famous for its sunken caldera formed over a million years ago. It is inhabited in harmony by indigenous Maasai, their livestock as well as a startling variety of plant, animal and birdlife species.

Tarangire Park on the other hand is the main refuge for wildlife from the surrounding part of the Great Rift Valley during the dry season Accommodation is at Sopa Lodges.

Departures: Daily, minimum 2 persons.

Day 1. Arusha/Ngorongoro
Lunch at Impala Hotel Arusha then proceed to Ngorongoro crater rim. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

Day 2. Ngorongoro
Taking picnic lunch with you, descend into the crater floor for a full day tour. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3. Tarangire National Park
After breakfast depart for Tarangire, arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge.
Day 4. Arusha/Out
Drive back to Arusha after breakfast with gamedrive en route. Lunch at Impala Hotel.
End of safari.
